Why Participate?

The YOUTH Do IT! platform contains six major courses :

- Sexual and reproductive Health and Rights
- Youth Friendly Services
- Awareness raising
- Meaningful Youth Participation
- Advocacy
- Leadership

Each of these six courses contains one to six subtopics with explenations, stories, video's, quizzes and reflection questions. If you want to teach your peers about these topics, you can follow these activities in prepraration of your course and conduct a session making use of the training pack.

YOU have the right to participate! Are you ready?

YOU(TH) Do IT! is a platform which provides information, courses and tools for youth to become well-informed leaders of the future. Young people can enrich their own knowledge and skills on human rights, sexual reproductive health and rights, meaningful youth participation, youth friendly services, advocacy, awareness raising and leadership. There are youth-friendly courses available which you can use to teach your peers.

In 2014 Lynn Werlich researched the involvement of young people in Kenya and Indonesia in programs of the Youth Empowerment Alliance . One of her main conclusions was that young people  have a need to access a diversity of materials/information/trainings on multiple topics (human rights, SRHR, Meaningful Youth Participation, Youth Friendly Services, Advocacy, Awareness raising and sensitization) whenever they need or want to access them. The Youth Empowerment Alliance decided upon this to develop this platform!
